What a great idea! While you’re walking around the house these slippers will dust the floor, collecting dog hair, dirt and other unwanted bits! The fluffy microfiber “fingers” on the bottom will pick up the dust and the soles can simply detach to be washed.
They also look comfy and pretty cute – although if you’re a bit on the obsessive side with the cleaning it may be hard to sit and relax wearing these on your feet knowing there’s dog hairs and fluff stuck to the bottom! Probably best for the lazy ones among us who’d rather sit with dirt on our slippers than get the hoover out! Unfortunately these only come in sizes 6 to 9 so the cleaning will have to be left to us women.

When I think of a bed I think of a bouncy mattress, cosy duvet and loads of pointless pillows. However, the perception of the bed is starting to change and I have just come across a product that proves this. Lomme Bed is an egg shaped structure that incorporates all the latest technology and gadgets but is also a bed. Did you ever think your bed would be able to eliminate outside sounds preventing disturbances in the night or offer a muscle relaxing system? I certainly didn’t, however this is exactly what the Lomme Bed can do.
It is packed full of sleep enhancing technology and even has an iPod dock so you can listen to your favourite tunes before you set off to the land of nod! Apparently it is only available in Liechtenstein at the moment but I’m sure this is going to be one popular bed once it is exported. I imagine it will cost a small fortune but hey, we can dream can’t we.

A cup of tea in three seconds! This kettle is genius. Not only does it deliver you with hot water super quick but its good for the environment too! It works a bit like most modern home water boilers where you don’t need to wait half an hour for enough water to heat to a bath. You can just turn on the tap and there is hot water as if by magic because they heat the water immediately and only the amount you are using. Of course heating only the water you need, saves lots of energy and time. Whoever realised this concept was a good idea for use in a kettle obviously likes tea as much is me.
The only snag is that it heats the water to just below boiling. Some tea fanatics in search of the perfect cup might have an issue with this. I’ve never really understood this because as soon as the switch flicks on the kettle the tea is less than boiling so by the time its hits the tea bag is its not boiling anyway but who am I to argue. The kettle launches in the beginning of July and will available in most high street homeware shops so look out for it! It’s going to cost around £60 but promises to cut £30 from your yearly electricity bill so is well worth the extra money.

How many times have you thrown a kitchen utensil into a drawer, closed it up and then completely forgotten where it is the next time you want to use it? Well I do this on a regular basis which is why I was so thrilled to find these Standz stand-up utensils by Tovolo. You can stand them up on your worktop so they’re always visible when you need to use them. If you don’t like things out on the worktop you could even dedicate a cupboard for all your stand-up tools.
Another great thing about these tools is they stop you from making such a mess on the worktop, instead of sticking it straight onto the surface you can simply stand it up and maintain a tidy surface while you continue to cook.
The variety of utensils is great, they have everything from whisks to cheese graters and spatulas to ice cream scoops. Check out the Tovolo website for further information.

Add a bit of glamour to your living room buy using one of these ‘Foot in the Door’ door stops. The toe of the sexy stiletto can be placed under the door and will act as a regular door wedge allowing air into the room and holding it open for guests.
The nifty little gadget is made from rubber and was designed by US company ‘Fred’. The shoe comes in either black or red and both styles cost just £5.99. It is certainly the most stylish door stop I have ever seen.

Everyone knows how frustrating it can be to hang your clothes up on a full rail. Every couple of days the hangers all get tangled and as you’re pulling one peice of clothing off, another hanger will have overlapped on the silver hook and before you know it clothes are falling off the rail and hangers are being snapped with sheer frustration. Well that’s the struggle I have with my wardrobe anyway – perhaps it’s just me?! …
The Magnetic Clothes Hangers were invented by designer Daniel, and provide an innovative update to regular hangers. By replacing the hook with a magnet, the hangers no longer need to be on a rail and can save loads of space (great news for us girls who need that extra bit of room!)
Plus they look great – really stylish! Can’t wait to get my hands on these

I recently came across this unique artwork by startist Rip Read and thought how amazing it would be to have on my bedroom ceiling. I love stars and the mysteries of the universe and think this would be the perfect surrounding for me to drift off to sleep under. The art he creates are called Star Murals – 5D art that resembles the real night sky, stars twinkle and move; you may even spot a shooting star if you’re lucky.
The great thing about his art is that the night time effects are bright and mesmerising but during the day the whole setting is invisible to the human eye. All designs are hand drawn therefore each Star Mural is completely original. He draws galaxies, nebulas, meteors, comets and star clusters in many different ways, see Rip Read’s Website for photographs and more information about this unique art that seems to be catching on around the world. He is also working on a clothing range in the same style as the ceiling art – now that sounds interesting!

When I first saw these pots at a garden centre, I thought what a good idea, and how cool they were until I researched them and found that they have been used for about 2000 years! They originate from Italy, and the design has remained the same since then.
Each pot contains a fortune card and the idea is that you keep feeding it with coins until it is full up (not to be smashed when it’s only half full because you are broke!!); only then can you smash it. You must then make a wish and spend the money on ‘good things’ and it will bring you good fortune. It is customary to then replace the pot and start again!
Each pot will hold about £200 in mixed silver and there are designs for many different occasions to save for. As well as the usual celebrations eg. special birthdays, anniversaries, weddings etc. there are more funky ones like Ferrari fund, season ticket or handbags etc.etc., a really fun way to save. We rarely write two posts in a row about food but I thought this Fruit Combo Rack deserved a mention! It’s a fun alternative to a standard fruit bowl and may even encourage the kids to eat more fruit – they won’t be able to walk past without touching this, it looks too tempting to play with! Not only does it look more interesting, but it also means the fruit’s more accessible and prevents it becoming easily bruised (as it often does at the bottom of the fruit bowl).
Pop it on the worktop to add a splash of colour to your kitchen too – it’s thin enough to not take up much space. At $19.98 it’s a tad more expensive than you’d expect to pay for a fruit holder, but worth it if you’re into kitchen gadgets that your friends and relatives aren’t likely to have!
