Zeno Acne Clearing DeviceGetting a spot of bother or sick of using endless amounts of spot clearing cream that just don’t work and wish for perfect skin? Invest in the new Zeno Acne Clearing Device. Switch the device on and hold the tip on the spot for several minutes, letting the heat cause the spot to ‘self-destruct’ and after a couple of tries, you should see the spot disappear, over 12-24 hours. A pain free and easy way to have clearer skin!

Spots appear at the worst times, create bad moods and spoil a perfectly preened face, so get rid of them in perfect time for the Christmas party season!

The Zeno Acne Clearing Device costs £129 and is available from www.hqhair.com.

Swarovski Crystal Face Cream

Monday, November 12th, 2007

Swarovski Crystal Face CreamWOW, is all I have to say about this sparkling beauty product!!

La Prarie has unveiled the newest limited edition product in its collection to celebrate its 20th anniversary and boy is this some anniversary gift! The swanky Swarovski case contains the most pricey skin care product on the market.

In a jar of this miracle worker you will find a very unusual ingredient – fish eggs, and yes apparently they are really good for your skin so if you can get past the fact that you are choosing to cover yourself in fish eggs it maybe worth a try!!

The use of fish eggs is not a new idea from La Prairie, in fact inside the shiny exterior lies a product that is currently on sale – Skin Caviar Lux cream.

So how much do I have to pay to be lucky enough to rub fish eggs all over face I hear you all cry? Well, you will be looking at around £1000 I’m afraid or if you could live without the crystal container and just want the magic inside you can buy the cream for around £170. Still very pricey but a little more affordable.

Urban Decay

Urban Decay Oli SlickRecently I have been going glitter and bright colour crazy. The edgy, rock chic look is really working this season and adding colour to the eyes is always a great idea for a night out.

Urban Decay happens to have some outstanding eye shadows, perfect for this look. I recently invested in Oil Slick, a black eye shadow with specks of glitter to really perfect the smoky eyes look. Cult would compliment the smoky eye look and rock it up. And Secret Star would also be perfect for those smoulderingly sexy eyes.

You can purchase selected Urban Decay products online at Boots or visit an Urban Decay concession in a Boots or a department store. The eye shadows cost £11 each.

Diesel Hipper JeansWe all love a good bargain, so this on line store www.hqoutletstore.com that provides a huge selection of name brands at an amazing reduced rate is probably a girls idea of heaven!

They have everything from Christmas gift ideas and skincare to jewellery and men’s fashion, there really is a huge range of bargains to search through. Its all surplus stock, end of line ranges and past seasons items that are available with superb deals.

I think the best bargain I managed to find on this site is these Diesel Hipper Jeans. I have never managed to bring myself to part with the hundreds of £’s that Diesel normally demand but £29.99 I’m definitely willing to pay, which is how much you can pick a pair up for – that’s a whopping 73% discount as they normally retail at £115.

YSL Touche EclatI will also now be buying one of my favourite beauty products – YSL Touche Eclat from this site only as they are charging a mere £17.95 compared to the normal £24. I would be be crazy not too!!!

With Christmas getting closer and purse strings pulling tighter, I would recommend everyone visiting this site and with savings like these you never know you might find yourself having some spare cash to hit the new year sales – everyone’s a winner!

The Lash Lengthening Mascaras

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

Clinique High Definition LashesI have to have my eye lashes long so I am forever trying to find the best black mascara available and I think I have found it. After one too many tried and tested experiments I am happy to say I have some worthy results.

Clinique’s High Definition Lashes mascara is heaven sent. The simultaneous brush and comb stick work together to lengthen and separate lashes to bring out their full potential. The mascara is available in either black or black/brown and costs £12.50, available from the Clinique website.

MAC also stock a great lash lengthening mascara, called Fibre Rich Lash which defines and thickens lashes. The mascara comes in all black and whole brown, priced at £10, available from the MAC website.

Visit www.clinique.co.uk and www.maccosmetics.co.uk to see and shop.

Calmia Eye MaskStill searching for Christmas gifts? I am, sadly I either purchase in advance or forget, so browsing the internet and fashion print is an essential to finding gifts. After hearing about a brand called Calmia, I Googled it, continued on to www.calmia.com and clicked to purchase. I was offered three optional website stockists and I found www.whatagirlwants.com. Pleased to find that not only do they have Calmia products but there are lots of other brands and ideal Christmas gifts to choose from too.

This Calmia silk eye mask and pouch is gorgeous and girly, comes in three colours, chocolate, green and rose. It costs £15 and seems perfect for those days you just don’t want to wake up on. Visit What a Girl Wants to see for yourself.

Nars Cosmetics Launches Skincare

Friday, October 19th, 2007

Nars cosmeticsI am an avid fan of Nars cosmetics so I was delighted to hear that the upmarket company have launched skin care products. I recommend the Nars gentle cream cleanser at £28; it cleans away make up and leaves skin soft and smooth. Also the Nars brightening serum at £43, it is god sent! It illuminates your skin leaving you fresh and radiant and finally I advise the Nars balancing toning lotion which does exactly what its title says, at £26 it leaves your skin healthy and perfectly polished.

To purchase any of these fine products visit www.narscosmetics.co.uk or visit a department store that stocks the Nars brand. You can search the department stores and shops that stock the brand.

Stila Smoky Eye Palette

Stila Smoky Eye PaletteStila Smoky Eye Palette is like no other palette you have ever seen – this nifty makeup delight actually talks to you!

Not only does it have everything you will ever need to create the perfect smoky eye, it will take you on a step by step tutorial – complete genius! In just 5 easy steps you have the perfect smoky eye.

The palette includes four shades including icy champagne as the base, shade slate for the lid, shade kettle that is dark grey used as the contour and shade ebony that is smoky black brown for the liner.

So if you want to get your hands on what seems to be a personal make-up artist get on down to your local department store where it will cost you around £35 or visit HQ Hair.

Mosaic Make Up Purse & Vanity Bag

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

ring_overnight_bag_vanitypng.jpgIf you are looking for branded travel accessories with a difference then these 2 beauties are perfect.

They are both designed and created by Tepper Jackson from the Supernice brand and either one (or both depending on how generous you’re feeling) could be the ideal quirky gift you’ve been looking for.

The missoni-esque cosmetics bag is just £15 and has robust and amazing graphic prints that I just love. Its also waterproof for that easy care advantage. I know from experience that if you have a spillage in a make up bag that cannot be washed down, it means the end of the bag for good as all the make up inside then becomes untouchable – either that or you end up with more make up on your hands than on your face which isn’t a desired look!

The vanity/overnight bag has the exact same appeal as the cosmetic bag with the bold graphics and is again a perfect easy care accessory. It can be used as a simple overnight bag or if you’re planning on a longer trip away is just as useful as a vanity bag. It has 2 large internal compartments so your clothes and toiletries can be separated and will cost you £45.

If you think these bags are as great as I do then they can be seen and bought on line at Not on the High Street
