It’s what all Eastenders fans have been waiting for – the return of Ricky and Bianca. The iconic couple has been gone from Albert Square for quite some time (Ricky since 2004 and Bianca since 1999), but is set to return in a storyline Eastenders chiefs hope will supercharge the BBC soap. So for those of you needing a re-cap, Ricky and Bianca married in 1997 but after she slept with her mother’s boyfriend Dan Sullivan, the couple split. They had a son, Liam, who accompanied Bianca as she left Walford. A 2002 spin-off show Ricky and Bianca re-united the couple briefly in Manchester, only for Bianca to once again bail on Ricky, this time leaving their son under his care.

And so we’re bang up to date. The teaser trailer below trades on Bianca’s trademark holler of her ex’s name and promises more tempestuous trauma between the pair. Will they get back together? What have they both been up to in their missing years and will audiences still enjoy their noisy rows? Another brand new hit US TV show is coming to the UK and this time it reflects the lives of people with power, privilege and family money.

The shows centred family are the Darlings. Each member of the family have more money than sense and are always getting themselves into sticky situations that they try to employ Nick George, a lawyer for the disadvantaged who watched his father protect the darlings until his mysterious death get them out of. The position which offers an ungodly salary soon shapes into being many positions under one title including therapist, PR expert and all-around problem fixer. Sounds like another scandalous and exciting TV show.

Love Top Shop? Love Kate Moss? Well good news ladies, as today the supermodel launches her fifth clothing range for the high street chain. The vibe seems to be one of tea dresses and gypsy styles as inspired by the star’s wardrobe. In support of this range is the more expensive and seemingly upmarket Kate Moss Premium range which, through more detailing in embroidery and beading, is asking upwards of £100 for a flapper style dress.

The Oxford Street store looked quite deserted this morning as the items first went on sale compared to Moss’ first launch for Top Shop last year, and speculation mounts that with up and coming stars such as Agyness Deyn Moss might consider retiring soon. It’s still over a month away but excitement is already brewing for this year’s British Academy Television Awards, as the nominations are announced. The one to beat is the BBC’s period drama Cranford, with the show’s stars Dame Judi Dench and Dame Eileen Atkins both up for the Best Actress award. Interestingly Coronation Street is omitted from the Continuing Drama category, while Stephen Merchant is acknowledged for his work in the Extras Christmas Special but not star Ricky Gervais. New sitcom on the block Gavin + Stacey is up for two prizes, while the BBC’s popular Strictly Come Dancing is competing in three categories.

For those of you keen to have your say on proceedings, the Programme of the Year is open to a public vote. The contenders are Andrew Marr’s History of Modern Britain, The Apprentice, Britain’s Got Talent, Cranford, Gavin + Stacey and Strictly Come Dancing. It’s now nearing the end of its run, but for those of you yet to experience the excellent drama that is Damages – remember it’s never too late. Damages is a critically acclaimed and award-winning legal drama that follows New York’s toughest litigator Patty Hewes (Glenn Close), in her bid to bring justice against Arthur Frobisher, a wealthy company chief accused of swindling money from his employees, played, in a role against type, by Cheers star Ted Danson.

Recruited to aid Patty in her work is fresh-faced and innocent law graduate Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne from films Troy and 28 Weeks Later), who soon learns what it takes to compete in the ruthless world of high-profile litigation. The show has earned a strong reputation and loyal following in its 10.35pm Monday night slot on BBC1. So if you’re not ready for bed after the news, try keeping up with all the suspense in Damages. It might not be an official holiday here in England, but for many today is a time for celebration - as it is St. Patrick’s Day. Sport Relief has been pushed by the Beeb for what seems like ages, and tonight the big show is upon us. People will be getting involved in sporty endeavours to raise money for charity, most notably the Sport Relief Miles happening on Sunday 16th up and down the country, and from 7pm this evening it will be up to the celebs to entertain us. After swimming the English Channel last time, Little Britain comedian David Walliams has given himself a new physical challenge: a triathlon from England to Africa, accompanied by Olympic Gold-winning rower James Cracknell.

Elsewhere, X Factor winner Leona Lewis will sing the official song Footprints in the Sand, Jonathan Ross will coerce Michael Parkinson out of retirement to co-host a chat show together and Top Gear goes green-fingered. The celebrity version of The Apprentice will conclude and they’ll be the likes of Gary Linekar and Davina McCall urging us to donate pennies to the worthwhile causes. Nowadays Britney Spears seems to be more of a fixture in gossip columns than on the dance floor, but that could be all set to change with her single, Break the Ice. The third release from the Blackout album, Britney doesn’t appear in the video and instead vamps it up as an anime character. Whether the animated version actually resembles the star is up for debate, but with a catchy uptempo beat it does remind you more of classic Britney than some of her other recent efforts.

Fans have complained that the animation is too busy, that it doesn’t compliment the song and that it is too similar in style to previous Daft Punk videos. Similarly, those keen to see the star are disappointed at her absence and have accused her of laziness. Decide for yourself if the criticisms are valid with this look at the new music video for Break the Ice.

Madonna has been inducted into the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Material Girl was introduced to the stage by recent collaborator Justin Timberlake (the pair’s single Four Minutes to Save the World is out soon) who enjoyed a joke or two at the expense of Madonna wannabes such as his ex, Britney Spears. The honour was celebrated by punk band Iggy Pop and the Stooges who covered two of her singles Burning Up and Ray of Light, while the Queen of Pop turned the air blue with some typically outrageous language in her acceptance speech.

Fans of Radiohead are in for a treat as the band is performing a special one-off gig at the BBC for FREE! Yes, free dear readers. You read correctly, so no need to pinch yourself or book an eye test. The Beeb is giving away 75 pairs of tickets to attend the special event on Tuesday 1st April in the BBC Radio Theatre. The group will perform twice (matinee and evening performances), with the tickets being allocated at random.

In the UK, we know her as Zoë Slater on soap Eastenders, but in the US actress Michelle Ryan is better known as the Bionic Woman. The English actress secured the lead role in the re-make of the classic sci-fi series which debuts tonight on ITV2 at 9pm. Ryan plays Jaime Sommers, a young woman struggling to make ends meet whose world is turned upside down by a devastating car accident. Close to death, she is saved by some innovative surgery that replaces her damaged limbs with prosthetic versions that soon bless her with superhuman powers.

Finding herself capable of kicking ass, Jaime becomes the Bionic Woman only to be faced with the vengeful Sarah Corvus – the first Bionic Woman. The show has been advertised on the ITV network for months to generate buzz, and with two strong female leads, The Bionic Woman could be a big hit for the station.
