I’m sad to say it but the Pout make up website is closing down on the 24th of December so now is the time to make your purchases.
On a lighter note because the website is closing down all products are discounted by 50%. Stock is selling extremely fast so invest as soon as possible. As of now the entire Sexy Sunwear collection is still available so prepare your self for summer or bronze yourself now. The Firming Shimmer Sun Cream is amazing, firms the skin and protects, leaving a gorgeous shimmer. The Instant Shimmer Tan is heaven sent, easy to apply and takes seconds to develop, perfect for that instant sun kissed look.
Tune in to Channel Four tonight at 10pm to have a very entertaining Christmas build up by watching the Friday Night Project with special guests Girls Aloud.
Cheryl, Nadine, Nicola, Sarah and Kimberley will join Justin Lee Collins and Alan Carr to put on a nativity play. If that’s not enough Girls Aloud for you then you can also catch them going back to school in the new film St Trinian’s. The movie has a great line up of actors including Rupert Everett, Colin Firth, Mischa Barton, Russell Brand and even model, Lily Cole. The film is about the infamous school for young ladies facing problems which the pupils will join together to solve. An enjoyable looking chic flick, out in cinemas today, nationwide.
Check out the new band, The Pierces. The New York based band has had a string of records but their most successful and most recent one is called ‘Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge’.
Sisters Catherine and Allison Pierce form the two piece band and have recently made their debut into popular television on the American CW television show Gossip Girl. The new album ‘Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge’ has been well reviewed especially for the single ‘boring’ which imitates celebrity socialites in a humorous way. The album is quite cool and edgy with some great songs like ‘Three Wishes’ and ‘Secrets’.
Preview their music on their UK website and purchase their album at Amazon for £9.97.
Britney Spears made her come back with ‘Gimme More’ this year and to follow up that catchy tune she is releasing a second single from her new album ‘Blackout’ called ‘Piece of Me’. The new video sees Brit back with her abs of steel and all the glamour as she bites back at the paparazzi who always want a piece of her.
Catch the brand new music video on www.youtube.com and on one of the many music channels available with Sky, digital and Virgin. You can also buy the song individually on iTunes for £0.79 now or as part of the album online at Amazon for £8.98 and in music stores now.
One Tree Hill is returning to the CW network (American television) on Tuesday the 8th of January 2008. That means it will be crossing the pond to UK televisions a little later into 2008.
The new series sees the cast four years on, having left high school and having become young adults. Lucas returns having released his first novel and becomes the coach for his old basketball team, The Ravens. Brook is a fashion executive, designing her own line was a success and now she is a famous, glamorous celebrity. Peyton was living her life in L.A. working for a record label but did not bode well with the life style so moved back to Tree Hill and Mouth obviously went off to college and is now a young professional, still chasing a career on camera. Finally the Scott family, Hailey is now a teacher and Nathan is a loving husband and father. So bring on season 5, I can’t wait for the drama.

The other night I was enjoying watching Fanny Hill on tv, but it was on really late and I fell asleep and missed the end. I wished that I had got up and set the video. However I was happy to discover BBC’s iPlayer the next day. I could watch the whole episode again as well as Eastenders, the real hustle or any of the BBC’s popular programmes from the previous week. If you have a decent Internet connection you can watch the programmes as they stream and the quality is uncompromised so its just a good as watching TV, but you can pick what you want to watch when you want.
If you prefer you can download the programmes to your PC using the BBCi player download manager. Unfortunately there are only a limited selection of shows available at one time so its not ‘TV on demand’ just yet but this site is one to watch for the future.
Originally this service could only be used by Windows XP and Vista users but it has been officially reported this month that Mac and Linux users be also able to download programmes as well as streaming. There will be also applications to make shows viewable from websites such as facebook and Youtube. Eric Huggers of the BBC said “We’re actively pursuing relationships with more suppliers to make sure the iPlayer becomes available on more services as well as Virgin Media, so that users have direct access to content on a TV through the iPlayer, “Use of iPlayer will no doubt become widespread in 2008. Watch out for the marketing campaign of the revamped iplayer which is to be launched on Christmas day.
The Savoy hotel in London is a national treasure and has had some of the most famous people of the 20th century sleeping in its suites and performing in its lounges. The hotel closed a couple of days ago for a 100 million pound refit and for the next three days they will auctioning some of the historic furniture, dinnerware and fittings from the hotel. You can pick up some very collectible items from china cups to the 12-panel, trompe l’oeil painted screen by Lincoln Taber.
Some other interesting things up for auction are a 24-light chandelier under which Noel Coward and Anna Pavlova performed and the contents of the Monet suit where Claude Monet painted a view of the Thames. My piece to watch is the white grand piano, which was often performed on by Frank Sinatra during his many stays at the hotel. Its expected to reach a modest 2-3000 pounds which would be an absolute bargain.
You can pick up some more affordable art deco treasures such as lamps and rugs, and even asparagus tongs. If you have ever stayed in one of the hotel’s magnificent suites and wished you could take something home with you pay a visit to the hotel between the 18-20th of December. To gain entrance you need a copy of the catalogue, which costs £30. If you want to bid, you need to register beforehand. See www.bonhams.com or read the article from the Telegraph from more information.
Yes, the famous American lingerie company is amazing and they ship to the UK. I envy the USA, its home to some fantastic clothing stores and Victoria’s Secret is one of them, amongst American Eagle, Kitson and Fred Segal. So it delights me that I can purchase products without the added cost of a flight and hotel.
Victoria’s Secret have some gorgeous lingerie available at the moment, take the Glamour by Victoria’s Secret collection with its racy lacy, little numbers like this Unlined embroidered full coverage purple and black bra, $42 and matching Embroidered tanga, $22. Or perhaps you would prefer the Very Sexy collection with seductive numbers like the red embroidered push up without padding demi bra, $42 and matching V-string, $18.
Whatever your preference, I’m sure you’ll find something you like at www.victoriassecret.com and remember the exchange rate is excellent right now.
Very exciting indeed, Desperate Housewives will be returning for a fourth season. After missing the first three seasons, I decided it was the right time to catch up and the drama witnessed in all three was desirably addictive.
As we can remember, season 3 left off with an unhappy and unfaithful Gabrielle, who married a politician only interested in his work. A blissfully happy couple, who also tied the knot, we all know to be Susan and Mike. Bree was shown to be pregnant, although later we found out it was her covering for her pregnant daughter, Danielle. Sadly Lynette and Tom received some upsetting news that Lynette had contracted cancer and even sadder, Edie attempted suicide. How will it all pan out? I am eager to find out so bring on season 4 ASAP!
Preview the fourth season above currently being aired in the US.

Those of you who know Russell Brand will know he is a comedy genius but did you know how he got to where he is now? After conquering journalism, television and radio it seems a book is now the right way to go.
Oh the wonders of the biography, the truth behind the lives of the stars we all admire. Well Russell Brand certainly provides that juicy gossip we thrive upon, I mean after the scandal we all hear in the weeklies, could we anticipate it more? From detailed descriptions of his child hood in Essex, to growing up and living with addictions to sex, drugs and drinks, it is a story of salvation as well as being entertaining read.
The exciting third instalment is now available on DVD, and I could not be more excited.
The Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremacy were fantastic, action adventure flicks, following Jason Bourne on his journey to rekindle his memories after suffering from amnesia.
