After a traumatic six years of constant press battles, apparent public break downs, a well publicised stint in rehab, a failed marriage, two children and according to reports on going court battles, Britney Spears is ready to make a come back. Her new single ‘Gimme More’ is another sexy, sassy hit similar to her last album ‘In the Zones’ music, ‘Early Morning’ and ‘Outrageous’ I think.
The new song premiered at the MTV Music Awards 2007 in Las Vegas. Spears performed the song in a bra and French knickers and looked as gorgeous as ever. Although critics slammed her performance for being weak and lip synching, they commended the song as have most other reviewers who heard the song that was leaked on the internet before it’s time. Spears further coming album is scheduled for a November 2007 release and hopes to be a hit, rumours are that Spears has worked with Timberland and former beau Justin Timberlake. I hope, like others that it will be a success and she will have a great future in the industry, good luck Brit!
Well it didn’t take long for designers to catch on to a new market of gadget crazy shoppers. It seems like only a few minutes ago that the iPod Touch was unveiled and already the gadget has its own fabric sleeve. US based company Fabrix have been manufacturing iPod cases for the Nano, Shuffle, Mini and classic for years and already they have modified designs to fit the Touch.
The iPod Touch sleeves can be purchased for $19.90 each and a number of designs are available, my personal favourites are the pink and white spotty and the black and white zebra stripes. The Touch itself wont be available in the US for a couple of weeks and no date has been set for the UK, however you can be prepared and buy your iPod a cosy jacket before it arrives!
The huge success of the iPod Shuffle and Nano led to Apples latest invention – the iPod Touch. The gadget in similar in design to the iPhone which I must just add has been reduced from $599 to $399. The iPod Touch incorporates a touch screen interface, wide screen display, integrated Wi-Fi and the ability to download music from iTunes. It is slightly smaller and thinner than the iPhone but larger than all other Apple iPods, it is by far the most advanced piece of music technology they have produced and I’m sure will be just as, if not more popular than previous designs.
The first models will be on sale worldwide in a few weeks time and will be available in 8GB or 16GB, prices starting from $299… How exciting! For more information about the features and specs visit the Apple Store.
Recently I can’t help but notice the hype surrounding the “Cabbage Soup Diet”. Just the other day I was moaning about my weight, when a colleague advised me to try it (she lost 7lbs on it in 7 days). I’m quite a sceptical person as previous experience has taught me so I looked into the diet further.
The diet is seven days long and consists of eating as much cabbage soup as you wish, as much fruit as you want except bananas, as many vegetables as you would like and a baked potato. There are other foods allowed sporadically but the previously mentioned are the mains. Although the diet looks incredibly bland, I hear great reviews, but be aware that this diet should only be done for 7 days at a time and that you should have at least 2 weeks of normal food after as this is very low in minerals, protein, vitamins and complex carbohydrates. I adore browsing the pages of fashion and beauty print as I gain inspiration from new styles I see. I’m starting to notice the flood light on 1940’s hair styles. Sienna Miller is just one of the stars to sport the 1940’s chic, cute and tight curls, Christina Aguilera and Dita Von Teese has been perfecting the look for a while now. After watching The Black Dahlia, starring Josh Hartnett and Scarlett Johansson, I got hooked and I am now looking for an event or an evening where I too can perfect this look without looking a tad overdressed. Scarlett Johansson’s white blonde hair gleams with her short, perfectly curled and styled hair along with her perfect flawless make up and gorgeous wardrobe. See the trailer and Scarlett’s hair below:

I have always been a huge fan of the Body Shop and love all their products simply because its all so natural and you know what you’re putting on your skin.
The Autumn 2007 make up range – Fabulous Metallics has to be my favourite Body Shop line yet as the products really are recreating this seasons look! It offers women of all ages, skin types and tones a great variety of very easy to use products that allows us all to create a multitude of looks.
Although it has been named Fabulous Metallics its not all that hard core and does offer a range of subtle and iridescent tones that can be used for face, eyes and lips.
Some of my favourites in the collection include the Precious Rouge for your lips, the Shimmer Squares for face, eyes and cheeks and the Brilliance Powder which creates a gorgeous natural looking glow for the face.
The whole collection can be seen either in store on The Body Shop Website so check out all the products available to create this seasons must have look!
It has just been brought to my attention that Dame Anita Roddick, the founder of The Body Shop died today from a brain haemorrhage. Her products revolutionised both the beauty industry and animal rights campaign and I’m sure she will be dearly missed.
I think no matter how thin you are, cellulite will always rear its ugly head at some point so when I saw this great new treatment that Cheryl Cole has been using, I thought its got to be worth a try.
It claims to be a revolutionary treatment that targets cellulite by increasing blood supply and circulation and then targets the fatty prone areas such as hips, thighs and bums! It must do the trick as all the celebs are raving about it saying its the future of body sculpting.
So if you need a quick but relatively easy way to combat cellulite visit the official Hypoxi website to find your nearest therapy studio where you can transform yourself for just £30 a session. Visit the Hypoxi Therapy Centre for further information.
Is it just me or do most girls find it hard to be somewhere on time? I always seem to find myself being distracted by other things when I should be getting ready for a big night out or a hot date simply because I lose track of time.
This fab looking clock appears to be the answer girls, although we would no longer have any excuses for being late! Its designed just for us girls and would fit in any girlie bedroom perfectly.
It is a very sweet and delightfully hand-painted resin clock which measures 9 1/2 inches high x 8 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches deep and can be yours from www.gizmodiva.com for just $59.
Naturally Converse trainers are still ultimately popular not to mention uber-cool but a brand that has been around for a long time with a recently revamped image is now strong competition. Keds, an American company has invested in Mischa Barton, a very well known celebrity from the hit TV show The O.C to promote their shoes in advertising campaigns.
Many young girls idolise the young superstar and want to be like her and now they can be, well they can wear the same shoes as her at least. Keds are similar to brands such as Converse but also Rocket Dog. The slip on and lace up pumps are stylish and come in all different colours and patterns. Their most recent advertisement was held at Oxford University which was very preppy cool. I love the Champion Cable Knit collection and adore the Keddettes.
Keds are available to buy from Office and Russell & Bromley in the UK, visit www.keds.com for more information.
