We all know how much of a success Kate’s collection was when she launched it with Topshop back on the 1st of May 2007, so as you can imagine the much anticipated Autumn/Winter collection will be a sure fire hit.
The collection is released in stores and online on the 7th September 2007 and has already been previewed in The Observer Magazine last Sunday, showing a change from the signature skinny jeans to many more dresses. The new collection is confident, sexier and more original than her first collection according to Grazia Magazine.
There’s a black chiffon dress with a plunging neckline, a cute cropped leather biker jacket, a tweed three-piece suit and a lovely tan leather bag to name a few.
Unlike most celebrity clothing lines Kate’s has been the biggest success with queues ringing around the Oxford Street store in London when the collection was first released creating a press field day. Let’s hope the new collection proves to be just as good as the previous one. I loved the white, one sleeved summer dress!
Recently I have been having a total nightmare with my locks! I have coloured hair and every time I wash it I cannot comb it without a battle of many knots. Like many of you I have tried and tested loads of different shampoos, conditioners and spray in products. NONE of them worked well until I happened to stumbled upon GHD Miracle Mist when I was last at the hairdressers. Although it was quite expensive I was willing to try anything so I asked my hairdresser to test it on me after my cut so I could see the difference myself. It is heaven sent!
GHD Miracle Mist is a daily conditioning spray which cleanses and nourishes the hair right to the tip. It also strengthens the hair, leaves a glowing shine, detangles wet hair and smells lovely too.
You can purchase GHD products including the Miracle Mist which is £10.95 at www.ghdhair.com.
The ‘must have’ item in your wardrobe this season is the LBD. Perfect for every occasion from balls, cocktail parties, Christmas parties, galas, art shows and even nights out on the town. The little black dress was initially designed in the 1920’s by Coco Chanel but now seems to have acquired its own collection from many designers.
Check out Oasis’s Little Black Dress collection, the pleated banded dress is both cute and complimenting (£70). ASOS own brand LUXE has a selection of sparkly evening dresses; the Victoria embellished silk halter dress in the style of Victoria Beckham, £75 is loud and proud. Ted Baker has a few LBD’s but one stands out in particular, the Aika - a silk 60’s style mini dress with angel sleeves and high waist line (£110). Whatever the venue, whatever the weather, a little black dress is always appropriate.

The Miller sisters are just two of the celebrities that have created their own clothing line, amongst others are Kate Moss, Lilly Allen and the Olson twins. The sisters, Sienna and Savannah Miller have combined their fashion talent to create Twenty8Twelve, which obtained the name from Sienna’s birthday on the 28th of December. With Sienna’s celebrity status and eye for fashion and Savannah’s design history in college and work history with Alexander McQueen, this range should be a sure hit.
The high end collection takes inspiration from 70’s rock’n'roll according to Sienna and has a really unique style. T-shirts can be bought for around £45, skinny jeans are around £145 and the ‘Juliet’ dress that Sienna Miller sported at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards can be bought for £270.
You can invest in this chic collection at ASOS in the near future so keep an eye out for dates. You can already check out some of the designs such as the two above at My Wardrobe.

Imagine the situation… You’re 30 minutes late, your friends are waiting outside and you can’t find that perfect pair of shoes amongst the other 200 cardboard boxes. Well thankfully someone has been in a similar situation and invented the very clever transparent shoe box! If you’re a shoeaholic this could be an extremely effective way to sort your shoes and find the pair you want easily.
The Clear Box Co. sell a complete range of see-through storage boxes in different shapes, sizes and colours. Choose from crystal clear, powder puff pink, tantalizing turquoise or luscious lilac, you can give your wardrobe a makeover and reduce the stress of getting ready before a night out. Finally I have found the perfect addition to my office – a pink computer to go with my pink fluffy pens, pink folders and pink mouse mat! The other girls in the office will be so jealous, I may have to invest in a few to keep everybody happy! I have seen games consoles such as the Nintendo Wii and PS2 in pink but this is the first time I’ve seen a pink PC.
Beneath the pink exterior is a fully functioning computer running Windows XP. A number of varieties are available ranging from £252 - £419, you can even buy the case on its own for £49.99 to jazz up your existing PC. Clearly this product is targeted specifically at the female market and if you want one of these beauties head over to www.pinkcomputer.co.uk to see what’s available.
If you’re fed up with wiping your sleeve over your computer screen every morning to get rid of the dust that’s built up overnight then these cute covers may be for you. Tailored for 17” screens, these PJ designed covers not only keep your computer dust free but they look fab too! Available in sky blue and black, your computer will be the talk of the office!
It seems more and more gadgets are getting their own clothes made, I wonder if there’ll be wardrobes designed especially for them in the future? Maybe each gadget will have a choice of clothes too? Crazy!
These PJ covers are available from LaptopStuff for £18.99.
What a great idea! While you’re walking around the house these slippers will dust the floor, collecting dog hair, dirt and other unwanted bits! The fluffy microfiber “fingers” on the bottom will pick up the dust and the soles can simply detach to be washed.
They also look comfy and pretty cute – although if you’re a bit on the obsessive side with the cleaning it may be hard to sit and relax wearing these on your feet knowing there’s dog hairs and fluff stuck to the bottom! Probably best for the lazy ones among us who’d rather sit with dirt on our slippers than get the hoover out! Unfortunately these only come in sizes 6 to 9 so the cleaning will have to be left to us women.
You know the world has gone mad when gadgets are designed their very own clothes! However, (as much as I hate to admit it) I actually find these iPod Hoodies extremely cute!
I guess the reason for clothes in the first place is to protect and keep warm? Clearly iPods don’t need to be kept warm but they do need protecting. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve dropped mine or scratched it - this hoodie could have kept it looking brand new.
If nothing else, these hoodies are sure to be a great conversation starter at the gym!! You can even choose between different designs, including the ‘All loved up’ Edition! Get yours from ipodhoodie.co.uk.
