I found this Summer perfume while browsing through a magazine and was immediately attracted by the colourful ribbons and kite decoration. The bottle looks a little like an upside down light bulb but it’s cute and would definitely look good on my dressing table!
With all the rain we’ve been having lately, it feels as if summer has been completely forgotten this year. However this fruity floral scent reminds me of a fragrance I’d usually wear in the sunshine so I’m wearing it to remind me what this time of year should be about – it cheers me up to catch a whiff of summer every now and then!
The limited edition fragrance by Lanvin is available at Scent Store and costs £32, not bad for a product that will make you smell of summer all day long.
There’s a silver lining in all those miserable clouds we’ve been seeing recently… a chance to show off your incredibly glam Juicy Couture umbrella. This not so subtle pink heart printed umbrella with huge gold juicy label will make you look trendy, rich and dry!
Complete with carry case it’s the perfect accessory to go in your juicy bag and protect that juicy tracksuit – towelling takes so long to dry you know. At £55 it’s certainly not cheap but then again that’s the point isn’t it.
Does it worry you that your mobile contains proof of everything you’ve been up to for the last month or so? Texts, photos, contacts … if someone wanted to find out about you they’d only have to look through your beloved phone.
Whether it’s your friends, parents or other half you’re worried about snooping, there may be a solution on its way…
In a bid for a high level of security protection, Oki Electric (a Japanese company) has announced the development of an iris recognition technology for cell phones. The software needs a one or two mega pixels camera to function properly, and you’ll need to give authorisation for others to make calls or access the web from your phone.
OK, so it doesn’t quite stop the snooping though texts and photos yet, but it’s certainly a step in the right direction!
As winter melted into spring this year, the majority of women would have hit the stores to prepare for their new summer wardrobe. Alas it’s now nearly the end of July and the summer wardrobe remains hidden behind thick jumpers and warm socks. Has summer been forgotten this year?
The answer to that question is too depressing to accept so I’m sticking with the belief that August will be a scorcher. Once the sun appears, the summer wardrobe can be revealed … roll on that day. If you’re not as prepared as you’d like to be here are some fab flip flops to get you in the mood for some sunshine. The jewels across the middle are really fun and they’re the perfect shoes for a chilled day in a pub garden.
A new series begins this Sunday on MTV that follows Jodie Marsh on a quest to find her Prince Charming. Jodie apparently wants to leave her drunken days and single life behind to settle down with a good man. She has been touring the UK holding auditions for brave (very brave) men to show up and impress her, my main concern is that nobody will turn up; she’s not exactly the girl you want to take home to your Mum.
If all goes to plan Jodie and the man of her dreams will be getting hitched this summer. The big question is ‘Will it last?’ or is this just a publicity stunt to get Jodie back in the press? I assume it’s the latter. I cannot believe the lengths some people go to these days to get themselves in the papers. Never the less, I’m sure I’ll be tuning in to see what the fuss is about. Starts Sunday at 10pm on MTV.
I went shopping last week and wore a pair of ridiculously high shoes that began to cripple my feet within the first hour. After I hobbled along for what seemed like a lifetime I headed into New Look to buy a cheap pair of flip flops so I could continue my shopping spree. Bearing this experience in mind you can imagine how thrilled I was this morning to discover a range of fold-up shoes, ideal for the end of a night out when you’re stumbling home or in my case if your shoes are just too uncomfortable to bear.
The shoes are manufactured by Redfoot and come in a whole variety of styles and colours. The image above shows the shoes in action and demonstrates how you can fold the shoes up and pop them into your bag ready for later. I think this idea is absolute genius – if only I’d known sooner!
When I think of a bed I think of a bouncy mattress, cosy duvet and loads of pointless pillows. However, the perception of the bed is starting to change and I have just come across a product that proves this. Lomme Bed is an egg shaped structure that incorporates all the latest technology and gadgets but is also a bed. Did you ever think your bed would be able to eliminate outside sounds preventing disturbances in the night or offer a muscle relaxing system? I certainly didn’t, however this is exactly what the Lomme Bed can do.
It is packed full of sleep enhancing technology and even has an iPod dock so you can listen to your favourite tunes before you set off to the land of nod! Apparently it is only available in Liechtenstein at the moment but I’m sure this is going to be one popular bed once it is exported. I imagine it will cost a small fortune but hey, we can dream can’t we.
Apparently the Trikke is the hottest new celebrity exercise gadget used by stars such as Jennifer Anniston. The movement involves shifting your weight from side to side like skiing and is supposed to burn off the equivalent of 30 minutes on a treadmill in just 15 minutes. I think it would take a bit of getting used to as it’s not a movement used in every day life, unless you’re a skier of course.
On a hot summers day this will probably be great fun, but not with the weather we’ve recently had in Britain. I can see this being a big hit in LA amongst the roller skaters on the beach front. The Trikke is available at Trikke UK and costs £299, bearing in mind this is how much you’d pay for a treadmill I don’t think it’s too bad – also this looks much more fun! Below is a demonstration of how the Trikke should be used.
It has been a long time since we’ve seen crowds of people wait in line for hours on end to purchase a mobile phone; however, this has been the case with the Apple iPhone. The funniest story I have heard is about the lady who took out $100,000 to buy a whole stores worth of iPhones.
She walked to the front of the queue flashing her cash around and offered the guy in the front $800 for his place, he accepted and went to the back of the line. Doors opened at the AT&T store and she barged in saying me first. She took out her cash and asked to buy nearly $100,000 worth of iPhones, however, stupidly she had not read the ‘one per person’ rule.
This rule had been implemented so that enough phones were available to everyone who had queued, the guy who’s place she took still got his Apple phone and an $800 bonus! She sadly walked away $800 out of pocket with just one phone in her hand. I think it’s safe to say that the world has gone completely crazy for this little gadget.
