Hen Night Camera

Friday, November 3rd, 2006

Hen Night CameraThis hen night camera is fab – when the photos are printed there’s a funky hen night themed border around the edge of each! These photos won’t end up with the stacks of other photos you simply forget about, they’ll be completely unique and your memories will be beautifully framed.

Make sure you use the camera to just capture the best shots as there are only 12 photos available – then simply take to any photo finisher for processing! I think this idea is great and why aren’t there more cameras with special frames, e.g. birthdays or Christmas? Perhaps there are and I just haven’t come across them yet?

This hen night camera is available for just £5.99 (bargain) from treats4chicks

USB Duck Shaped Vacuum Cleaner

Thursday, November 2nd, 2006

USB Duck Shaped Vacuum CleanerHow cute is this duck shaped vacuum cleaner! Simply slot it into your USB port and you’re good to go – it’s great for getting between those annoying little holes in your keyboard, and can also be used to suck up any dust from around your desk too.

I’m the queen of laziness so this suits me down to the ground – I no longer need to get out of my seat to find a duster or search for the hoover (not that I did that much anyway!).

For just $21 this little ducky is a bargain, and what a great stocking filler it would make too!

The Girlfriends' Box Of Questions

Thursday, November 2nd, 2006

Box Of QuestionsI know this gift is a tad corny but I personally love stuff like this. As the name ‘Box of Questions’ may give away, this is a box of questions, which includes your most memorable kiss, your most disastrous hair day and other soppy things girlies love to chat about with their close friends (although all my close friends already know most things about me!)

I’d say this is a perfect item to take round to a proper girly night of soppy films, chocolate and wine – I’m not sure how deep the questions dig but with more and more wine you could always make up your own :) Plus a portion of the proceeds goes to Women’s Cancer Research Fund so this gift is definitely worth buying

Ladette to Lady Finished :(

Thursday, November 2nd, 2006

Ladette to LadyJust in case you missed it last week, Victoria won Ladette to Lady over finalists Clara and Francis. I was surprised as I thought Clara would take the crown – in my opinion she has changed the most since the series began. Francis was an unlikely winner from the start but she did look stunning in her lilac gown at the debutante ball. All three would have passed for ladies if it hadn’t have been for their grammar, Victoria even slipped out an “I fought” in front of the guests!

I can’t wait until the next series; it is a truly entertaining show. If they want to beat ratings this year I can’t imagine what sort of girls they will have in store for us next time.

Pingo Prepaid Calling Cards

Thursday, November 2nd, 2006

I travel a couple of times a year and love a holiday in the sun but I cringe at the thought of my mobile phone bill as I’m on the plane home. I came across a website today that offers a prepaid calling card service that can save a lot of money on long distance calls. What’s more, if you sign up to their site you’ll receive $5.00 worth of free calls.

Australia calling card rates are as little as 2.2¢per minute from the US and 4.2¢per minute from the UK. To find out more about the International prepaid calling cards they offer visit their website.

Wool Belted A-line Coat from M&S

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

A-line Coat from M&SI saw this coat on the M&S website and thought I should share it with you all. It is beautifully made and I think it is just the right length for a winter coat. The colour of the material is dark purple (aubergine), it is made from wool with neatly placed buttons and a subtle belt to finish off the garment. The coat is fitted, has a wide double collar and two pockets under the waist.

It is currently selling at M&S for £79, not bad if you ask me. The coat would go with anything except maybe red trousers; that probably wouldn’t look so good. See their website for more info and size availability.

The Bachelorette Party

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

The Bachelorette PartyI have just finished this book and would definitely recommend it to you all. It is absolutely hilarious at times and brings together things that we all think but wouldn’t dare say out loud. The story follows an LA school teacher called Zadie who is recovering from being dumped at the alter by her waiter turned soap actor boyfriend. Zadie is well on her way to recovery but then her best friend Grey (male) proposes to her cousin Helen who Zadie isn’t too fond of.

Zadie finds herself organising the hen night on top of coping with the stress of her own life and not to mention the fact that she has a crush on one of her students to try and forget about. However, the bachelorette party proves to be livelier than Zadie imagined with all sorts of secrets let out of the bag. This is a wickedly funny Novel by writer Karen McCullah Lutz. Available at Amazon in hardback and paperback.
