We all know that leggings and knits are hot this year so I just thought I’d share a picture with you of someone doing it well. The pic is of Mena Suvari (American Beauty, American Pie) looking extremely trendy in a rocker outfit where she has mixed leggings, tartan shorts and a knitted jumper. The layering of subtle coloured tops is a great look and also practical for the colder months.
She has finished off the outfit with some loud gold shoes and a studded belt. Loving the hair, it’s such a funky style. When I think of Mena I always remember her as the goody two shoes from American Pie but here she has shown her rebellious side.
To see great pictures of celebs in knits visit Glam.com. Cameron Diaz, Eva Mendes and Jessica Simpson all show off their star style.
As mentioned in a previous post I recently did the super juice diet created by Jason Vale. One of the main ingredients in the majority of the juices was pineapple. I cannot cut a pineapple very easily and I often ended up with very little flesh because I had accidentally cut it off with the skin. Had I known about this ingenious invention I probably wouldn’t have got so stressed when preparing my ingredients.
This little contraption is called the Vacu Vin Pineapple Slicer and it peels and slices the whole pineapple in just a few seconds. All you need to do is cut off the very top of the pineapple and the slicer does the rest for you. This one will certainly be on my Christmas list. You can buy it at Amazon for $9.99, found via Kitchen Contraptions.
Loving the new mascara by L’Oreal, it is probably the best one I have used and definitely makes my eyes stand out more. You must know it – it’s the advert with Penelope Cruz and those oh so gorgeous lashes. I have to admit mine don’t look quite like Penelope’s but they do still look full and long and there were no clumps.
Superdrug are currently selling the L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara for £8.99, very reasonable for such a great product. Go ahead and get some, because you’re worth it!
Whether you’re ashamed of your mobile or just useless at looking after it on a night out then these Poche Mobile Handbags are for you. There are loads of different designs – from PocheActive to PocheWiz, but our favourite has to be the PochePrincess. There are also loads of colours to choose from – we’re going to shock you all by admitting that our fav colour is … wait for it … baby pink!
These adorable little bags also have a slider system which means you can alter the size – perfect if your phone is a brick! Slip in some cash, some lippy and your keys and this PochePrincess would make a pretty fab evening bag too!
I came across this video and couldnt resist sharing it with you all! I think Burger’s going to have to do something pretty drastic if he wants a new home!
The more I watch this the more I feel sorry for Burger … am I the only one? It’s the little meows at the end …
This folding travel hanger and lint brush may not be the most exciting post but it’s definitely a great idea – the simple ones are always the best! When folded, the lint brush removes dust, pet hair, fluff etc, and once opened up the lint brush becomes a full-size hanger!
The size makes it perfect to take on your travels – or just keep in your glove box for when it’s needed. For only $5.99 I think this is a very handy item to have (and it would make a practical, if a little boring, stocking filler!)
I am a big fan of unique objects and I think it has to be said that this is definitely unique. It is known as the unfinished clock and would look so great on a mantelpiece or shelf. It would be better if the surface you place it on is wide so it almost looks like part of the clock. I found the item at Hidden Art who sell a number of household goods that are a little quirky and designed to be different. They have some really strangely shaped chairs in their furniture section that are so beautifully carved I’d be scared to sit on them.
The clock, made by Thelermont Hupton can be bought in red, orange, black or white and currently costs £29.00 plus a £5.88 delivery charge. You can find furniture, lighting, gifts, jewellery and even fashion items on the site as well.
I have fallen in love with yet another bag and this time it’s chunky, dark and sexy, it’s £69.99 from River Island and is one of their newest arrivals. I love this type of bag because it goes with anything and is big enough to fit all you everyday accessories. The bag is made from brown leather and has numerous pockets to allow quick access to your mirror and lipstick. Each pocket and the opening are secured with chunky bronze buckles that add to the overall look of the item.
At £69.99 this is not a cheap bag, but it will last for years and is the type of bag that will stay in fashion for ages. In my opinion it’s totally worth it. See the River Island Website for more information about their new arrivals and latest looks.
Today I keep coming across fab little gifts that would make perfect stocking fillers this Christmas – yes it’s that time of the year again, can you believe it?! This is a fun little gift for a bezzie mate or a little princess you have to buy a pressie for this xmas who has everything else. The stiletto mobile phone holder is the ultimate way to store a mobile – it even lights up when the phone rings- how adorable (or sickly depending on who you are!)
This is fun, giggly and girly – you can never go wrong with pink fluff!
As I sit here now with feet as cold as ice I know they’re screaming out for these hot socks! How cosy do they look, and they’re pink – a think a pair of these are definitely on my stocking filler list this year! My feet deserved to be pampered – if I’m honest I’ve neglected them for far too long now. After a long, cold day these hot socks would be amazing to come home to.
You simply pop them in a microwave or electric oven to warm them up and then slip your feet in. Apparently they help to improve circulation and ease arthritic pain too, and with the essence of Rose, Neroli and Lavender, your feet will be truly happy!
