Aimi’s boyfriend Paul is a true web geek and he has advised us today that we should make our blog more web 2.0 by putting some social bookmarking icons (like digg, delicious, reddit etc..) on to the bottom of every post we make. How do we do that? Well luckily some kind chap has written a bookmarks bar plugin for WordPress, which is the software we use for our blog.
Instructions
- Download the plugin from here
- Extract the files and then upload the social_bar folder to wp-content/plugins/
- Go to wordpress admin > plugins and then activate the social bar plugin
And that’s it!

London Fashion Week is in full swing so I visited the natural history museum yesterday to get a peak at what was going on around there. Unfortunately I didn’t get too close to the party by flashing my “new pink journo” status and ended up looking at a bunch of old bones instead. However, I’m please to say that I’ve discovered a way that we fashion mortals can get a piece of fashion week fun. London Fashion Weekend is taking place between 27th of September and 1st October. There will be plenty of stalls displaying the latest new trends, including Lulu Guinness, Agent Provocateur, Ronit Zikha and Jasper Conran. Toni and Guy, Elizabeth Arden and the Superdrug nail bar will be there to ensure you are styled up to LFW standard, and you can enjoy the official champagne of LFW at the Moet Bar.
If you are interested in getting tickets visit www.londonfashionweekend.co.uk tickets are ten pounds. Or get exclusive opening night (Wednesday the 27th) tickets for 15 pounds from Grazia magazine and £5.50 will be donated to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer® UK.

Kate Moss has signed a deal for a reported 1 million pounds to design her own collection for Topshop. Kate made an unexpected appearance at the Topshop fashion show before fashion week recently and said that she often shops in Topshop and loves what the chain stands for. Since then rumours of her debut into the designing world have been flying around London Fashion Week. Kate was pictured in today’s TheLondoner shaking hands with Topshop owner Philip Green so it looks like the rumours are true. Apparently the new range will be in shops in the New Year. Kate always said that she wanted to start designing at some point, It will be interesting to see if the range follows her own style or is more creative.

Spain is a great place to visit this September if your summer tan is already fading. Marbella is the richest town in Spain and a famous playground for the wealthy, but a holiday there doesn’t have to leave you with a hole in your pocket. The Gran Guadalpin is a great hotel with the best facilities around and it doesn’t cost a fortune. There are actually two Guadalpin hotels around Marbella. Guadapin Banus is a short walk from the glamourous port, Puerto Banus, which is teaming with three story yachts, fast cars, and designer stores. The hotel is quite trendy with a court yard pool which overlooks the sea.
There is a free taxi between this hotel and the Gudalpin in marbella’s golden mile. This hotel is my favourite of the two but is more family orientated. It has a large outdoor area with a great pool and impressive 50ft palm trees. The suites are really spacious and come with hot tubs and massive verandas. The buffet breakfast at this hotel was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have experienced and the spa is definitely worth a visit – I recommend the deep cleansing facial. If you are looking for a really good value book this hotel with three friends and share a two bedroom suite.

For all you girly girls out there, here’s a great accessory for your car! Cartrek’s new satnav not only looks great but is simple to use so there’s no need for wasting time on long instruction manuals or annoying downloads. Simply plug it in, switch it on and you’re ready to hit the road. For the not so girly girls the Cartrek 400’s also available in black – but I personally love the pink!
It’s already a best seller in Europe and now for the first time, it’s available in the UK. Not only will it guide you around the UK, but also includes maps of the whole of Europe and speaks 13 languages. For £249 this is a must-have gadget to brighten up your car.

I am one of those people who try every diet available and always end up at the same weight I am now. This Juice Master book is my newest fad and one that appeals to me a lot because I love fruit and vegetables especially when they are in smoothies. I bought the book last week and read it whilst in Marbella at the weekend, Jason Vale the author of the book and creator of the juices insists you read the whole book before starting the new eating plan in order to boost motivation and change your thought process for the better.
The diet allows you to drink five juices throughout the day for the first 7 days and take part in a new exercise plan. No solid foods are allowed throughout the entire first week which is why you can apparently loose 7lbs in the first 7 days. After this initial week you can introduce your normal solid foods back into your diet gradually so that you don’t put all the weight back on that you started with.
Some of the ingredients are supplements you may not have heard of such as Spirulina and Wheatgrass which you can get from your local health shop. Many of the items you will have heard of and can get from the supermarket, Jason Vale claims to be the man who helped Katie Price (Jordan) loose 2 stone in 3 months after the birth of her second son. If she can lose all that weight after just having a baby I’m certainly going to give it a go. Let me know if you have tried this diet, I’d love to hear how you got on.

When I first saw this I thought how useful it looked – the amount of times I’ve tried to hold my bag, my umbrella, answer my mobile, find my keys etc. I end up in a state with the umbrella usually drooped on the floor and me left soaking wet. Then I thought about it some more and realised I’d probably look pretty funny with this huge attachment on my arm – it would be a perfect invention if it was a tad more subtle!
I’m not really sure how you close the umbrella without getting wet either – I can imagine myself trapped inside as it shuts and being in a worse state than with a normal umbrella - perhaps it might be best to stick to a hood! For only $7.99 I think this may be worth a try though (for the entertainment factor at least).

A few days ago I wrote a post on the iPod Toilet Paper Holder for those of you who can’t even go to the loo without your precious gadget. Now I’ve come across the Music Showcase – the waterproof iPod speaker case – so you are able to have a shower with it too!
The Music Showcase floats with an iPod inside and you can even control what’s playing by pressing through the rubber. Apparently the button is quite hard to press, but I’m sure that won’t worry those of you who love your iPods enough to shower with them!
The Music Showcase is a great idea for the beach, the pool or just a rainy day too– so it’s not solely for those of you who wish to shower with it. At £80, I think this is a great buy to protect your iPod.

This is a great little gadget to pull out in the pub – you’ll find out who your friends really are! Simply strap your hand in and get ready to be honest! Apparently the lie detector gathers the information after each question and evaluates it to decide if the person being questioned is lying.
The more questions the person answers the more accurate the lie detector becomes, as there’s more information to evaluate. It’s recommended that the first few questions are simple, such as name, eye colour etc so the gadget can decide quicker whether the person is lying!
I’m not sure how accurate this is but it’s pretty cheap at £12.95 so I think it’s worth a try! It will definitely keep you entertained for a few hours anyway!

As summer becomes a distant memory and winter approaches fast, here’s a perfume to give you something to smile about. As well as smelling great, the perfume is supposedly full off ingredients that will activate happiness - creating feelings of joy, excitement and euphoria! There are also bath products, shower gels and deodorants with the same self-prescribing happiness ingredients.
Products are available from Selfridges or online from Happy Therapy. The perfume costs 35 euros online – sounds good to me!

Someone has clearly spent far too much of their time on the toilet – who’d ever come up with this idea?! This iCarta iPod Toilet Paper Holder has four integrated high performance moisture-free speakers, a charging iPod dock, adjustable spacers for different iPod models and a quick release fastening system for portability. Basically, this is a speaker system for the iPod with a toilet paper holder attached!
There’s not much else to say about it really… I’m still amazed that some people can’t even go to the loo without their iPod – what’s next, a cinema? A fast food joint in the corner?

I feel a pang of guilt whenever I go to a shop to buy someone a birthday card. They are such a waste of money and usually really impersonal. I always think I should be putting more effort in and making a card myself, but I can’t ever really be bothered. Well now I have found a website where I can create an image of the birthday girl, dress it and accessorize it in their style and make a special card for them. I can even order stationary or a t-shirt with their image on it as a gift. You can make business cards or invitations for yourself and there are loads of choices to make the cards really personal. Creating your characters and sending E –cards is free so register at Design-Her Cards, and become a better friend :p

If you are lucky enough to be going away somewhere hot this autumn then this kaftan could be a perfect item for you. The see through material will look so elegant over a black bikini and you will look like a princess on the beach. The gold detail and floral print adds to its appeal and the fitted waistband ensures your figure still looks fantastic. The item also has wide sleeves and side vents to keep you nicely aired in the heat.
The kaftan is quite expensive for a beach outfit but you will be the centre of attention if that’s what you’re after. This particular Timo Kaftan is £60 from Monsoon and is classed as the colour Chocolate.

Girls its time to get your leggings back out cos they are hot this Autumn. I do however recommend you grab some of these new footless tights rather than dig out your eighties gear – they’re so much trendier :). I’m loving this particular pair of pink animal print tights from ASOS and at only £6 they are an absolute bargain.
Loads of attention is on the legs this year so if you’re lucky enough to look good in a pair of lycras these are definitely a must have. Other similar trendy styles for the Autumn/Winter season include skinny jeans, leg warmers and even knee high socks (especially stripy ones if you’re feeling daring). Check out ASOS.com for some great sock styles at very reasonable prices.

The Bluetooth Mirror Hands Free Car Kit (bit of a mouthful!) allows you to chat away without having to take your hands off the steering wheel. So what’s so great about this gadget that makes it stand out from the rest? The Bluetooth Mirror clips over your cars rear view mirror and not only will your phone connect automatically when you start your engine but you are able to see who is calling by the number being displayed on the mirror – I love the idea.
The gadget fits any Bluetooth phone and works with all Bluetooth cellular networks so there are no wires involved and it incorporates a microphone and speakers too. You are able to answer, reject, end, redial or adjust your speaker volume by simply pushing a button – wherever your phone is in the car.
It’s a bit on the pricey side at £99, but worth it for the geek factor! Available from Gadget Box.
