Shewee

SheweeI’m both curious and disturbed by this little gadget! Designed to allow you to go to the loo standing up like a man, the shewee is intended for those situations when you can’t find a loo or would rather pee yourself than sit on a dirty one.

Apparently you hold the funnel against your bits and there are no drips, leaks or spillages! I’ve yet to try it out – it’s recommended you practice in the shower first before you go solo. I’m really not sure about this!

For those of you who are worried about how hygienic this product is, apparently urine is sterile when it leaves the body so it’s perfectly hygienic! Once you’re done, simply rinse or shake the shewee and pop it back into the self sealing bag. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s tested it out …

Available for £5 from Sheactive.

I think its a brilliant idea! First saw this sort of thing at Glasto a couple of years ago, when they launched the female only urinals or ‘She Pees’ so that girls weren’t forced to use the stinky loos everytime or squat in a field to avoid them. A similar sort of thing (not sure if it was this companies invention) as the ‘Shewee’ was used at the urinals, or elsewhere so girls could join the boys in standing to pee. Haven’t used one, but would certainly give it a try for those emergency situations!

I used this at glastonbury - or tried i should say. It was very wierd to pee standing up, it just wasn’t right so i had to give up and do it the normal way. Having said that though it is a brilliant idea and loads of other people managed fine! I would recommend getting one if you think you are ever going to be stuck in a sticky loo situation but i wouldn’t recommend trying it in the shower - yuck!

Recently had a short trip to Beijing. The toilets at the section of the Great Wall we visited were—- well, hard to describe. Yuck! Luckily I had a Shewee with me. My husband was able to do a reccy for me and make sure there was no one in the gents’, then I nipped in and used the urinals. These things are magic!

This little gadget has stirred quite a reaction amongst us ladies. Its a great product with many uses! I actually bought one to water my orchids. The other one I bought I do use on my travels as I hate public toilets and the seats they expect us to use. Neat, discreet, and petite. Just like a lady should be.

This is just a super idea and once you get over the strangeness of weeing standing up, a perfect solution. I think they also sell some great boxer shorts in lovely pink, and an extension tube for using through thick clothing. Very clever and should be hugely popular with us ladies…

I got my Shewee as few weeks ago after being stuck for 4 hours in T in the Park traffic (incidently, not on my way to the festival myself - and pregnant!!!) There were tons of men getting out to pee at the side of the motorway but I just wasn’t ready to squat in front of thousands of onlookers so I did my best to hold it in - all the time wishing I had gotten around to ordering one of those ‘Shewee’ things everyone is talking about. I ordered one as soon as I got home that night. I’ve been practising at home with it so that I get the hang of it in the event of a real emergency. It does take a bit of getting used to but once you’ve got the technique down its brilliant! Had a few small leaks the first 3 or 4 attempts but then I sussed out that if you hold it slightly further away from yourself rather than pressed on tightly then it flows freely rather than backing up and leaking - works for me anyway. It is really strange telling yourself that it’s ok to let the pee out when you’re standing up but it comes more naturally with practice. I totally recommend the Shewee - revolutionary product!!!

I’ve just bought one for the v festival this weekend. I have tested it out, and although it is quite strange to pee standing up like a man, it works a treat!!! I would recommend it!!

Im from India! Recently I ordered for Shewee, I’m a wheelchair user…going to loo each time was difficult task. Now, shewee has been gr8 help. All I do is push myself in front of the wheelchair and place shewee at right position ….its alll done within seconds …no spills, leaks…

I recommend all gals in wheelchair, should try this amazing product! its makes life simpler..

I think the shewee is truly something. I didn\\\’t bother to practice, just got on with it as I was on a dog walk and literally bursting. But no leaking or drips I am glad to say. Yes you do need to engage your brain to encourage you to pee standing up. I think girls subconciously use their pelvic muscles when they squat to pee and this is what makes doing it standing a challenge. I found it took me longer to empty and then not completely. But it is not being marketed to use all the time, simply when you have the inconvenience of no convenience so to speak.

This is fantastic!!! My knees were starting to restrict me getting up from the necessary position, but now I go on walks with no problem. No leaks or wetness if you use it properly. Every outdoor type should have one in their pocket, as well as one in the car for emergencies!!! I am going to buy them as pressies for my friends!!
