Metric are the coolest new band of the moment. I don’t often watch MTV2 but I’m pleased to say that every time I turn on, Metric’s single (Monster Hospital) is playing. This song is fun and a perfect summer tune to dance about to at Carling Festival in a couple of weeks. Metric are a female fronted band from Canada. Their sound is reminiscent of bands like the Hives and Franz Ferdinand, but with lead singer Emily sounding like a cross between Courtney Love and Gwen Stefani a whole new twist is given to the indie rock genre. If you like The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, and Goldfrapp you will love this band!
