Belkin Wi-Fi Phone for Skype, no need for your PC
This Skype-based phone means you don’t have to have your PC on you to be able to enjoy the VOIP facilities that Skype offers. This phone comes with the Skype software already built into the headset so you simply need to connect to a wireless network anywhere to enjoy free calls over the Internet (or cheap calls to landlines and mobiles). Apparently the new Wi-Fi phone goes on sale in August 2006 in North America, with launches in Europe, Asia and Australia following shortly and will retail for $190.
You’ll be able to connect to ‘hotspots’ all around the world – so you’ll have the freedom to call anyone, anywhere away from your PC – in the local cafe, at the airport, in the office, at home … etc. Brilliant.
